Description

On 23 October 2024, at the British Embassy, a panel discussion took place in partnership with BCC Members Provident Financial and Citibank, focusing on data-driven decision-making, non-profit collaboration, and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The event highlighted the importance of accurate data in enabling effective communication and strategic decision-making, particularly for understanding and addressing the needs of marginalised communities. Experts underscored that quality data facilitates impactful solutions and measurable outcomes, strengthening social responsibility initiatives.

The discussions also explored corporate partnerships with non-profits, revealing mutual benefits for communities and corporations. These collaborations help improve conditions for disadvantaged groups while enhancing corporate social impact, contributing to growth within the non-profit sector.

Insights on CSR strategy and impact measurement examined how companies incorporate social initiatives into their overall strategies, covering topics such as environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting and sustainable financing. Panellists emphasised the importance of clear impact measurement for evaluating and communicating CSR efforts effectively.

The session closed with a focus on raising awareness for marginalised communities, addressing issues like housing insecurity and homelessness to drive long-term social change.

Featuring speakers Marie Maliskova from Citibank Europe, Márta Pálfalvi from Provident Financial, Marie Potapova from Romodrom, and Aleš Rod from CETA, and moderated by Eva Shaw from The Good Board, the event provided valuable insights and innovative approaches for advancing social responsibility through strategic data use and meaningful collaboration.
