NewsGuestshift with Gašperov Mlyn and leading chef Martin Záhumenský at Alcron restaurant

We would like to invite you to another extraordinary evening at Alcron Restaurant, taking place on December 13. Our guest chef for the evening will be Martin Záhumenský, a talented chef with extensive international experience.

Martin has worked in several Michelin-starred restaurants and spent over 13 years in the UK. In Tuscany, Italy, he launched his own project called Pappa Mia, focusing on experiential tasting menus and collaboration with local winemakers and farms. He was also a mentor to the current head chef of Alcron, Richard Bielik.

At the core of Martin’s cooking is respect for ingredients, with quality being his top priority. His natural style places the product front and center as the main star of the kitchen. “We chefs are just a small part of a larger cycle, which begins with the land, followed by skilled growers and farmers. The process ends with us, the chefs. The journey is the goal, and although my work is physically and mentally demanding, it is my passion and lifelong mission,” says Martin about his philosophy.

The menu Martin Záhumenský is preparing for Alcron will showcase his signature dishes. Guests who are not yet familiar with his work will have a great opportunity to discover his evolving cooking style, shaped by two decades of practice. “Alcron is iconic to me. When I hear its name, I immediately think of its history and the golden era of tradition. I am delighted to see this era returning, as Alcron regains its well-deserved place in the spotlight,” concludes Martin.

The guestshift will begin at 6:00 PM, and seating is limited. The event is priced at 1,690 CZK, with optional wine pairing available for 1,090 CZK.
