Czech – British Inspirational Forum: Renewables in the Urban Areas will take place at the Center for Architecture and Urban Planning (Vyšehradská 51, Prague 2) on February 29, 2024, 9:00 – 13:00.
The event is organized by the British Embassy in Prague, in cooperation with the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic, in cooperation with IPR in CAMP.
Renewables are the future of European energy and are currently experiencing rapid development. However, most large power plants are located outside the most densely populated areas, while the greatest demand for energy remains in cities. How to deal with this situation? Can we work effectively with renewable energy sources in an urban environment? We believe so.
The conference will present innovative examples of using photovoltaics, residual heat or working with water in an urban environment.
The event will feature Patrick James, Professor from the University of Southampton specializing in innovative urban heating; Dusty Gedge, leading British expert on green roofs and a number of Czech experts. We will send out the detailed program together with speakers bios in the following weeks.
Please register here before 23 February.
The event will be held in English and Czech, interpretation will be available. Light refreshments will be provided after the conference.
