After almost nine years, the relaxation zone in the Prague Marriott hotel is coming back to life. A place where movement, rest and care for the body and mind are interconnected. The freshly renovated spaces, designed by architects from Twenty Two Degrees, who have previously worked on innovative concepts for banquet halls and rooms, combine harmony, functionality and modern design.
In the hustle and bustle of the big city, it is increasingly difficult to find a place to stop and recharge. That is why Marriott emphasized balance and the natural connection of active movement with rest when designing the relaxation facilities. It is not just a pool, sauna and fitness center – it is a space where everyone can enjoy a moment for themselves.
The newly renovated environment offers the possibility of active movement and deep relaxation in an atmosphere that supports the regeneration of body and mind. The pool is designed to provide space for both calm swimming and relaxation in the water after a busy day.
The Finnish sauna offers intensive warming up of the whole organism, which helps to relieve muscle tension, accelerate regeneration and support detoxification of the body. Regular use of the sauna also strengthens the immune system and contributes to overall resistance to stress. The steam bath, thanks to higher air humidity, helps to hydrate the skin, relaxes the respiratory tract and creates an ideal environment for relaxation and mental well-being.
Space for active movement and relaxation
The fitness zone offers enough space for individual strength training, dynamic cardio exercises and free movement. The equipment is designed to suit both beginners and experienced athletes.
After exercising or staying in the sauna, guests can use the relaxation area with loungers, armchairs and a bench by the pool, where they can enjoy a moment of peace and let the body and mind rest naturally. The overall atmosphere of the space is designed to promote harmony, regeneration and undisturbed rest.
Visitors have access to changing rooms for men and women with a total capacity of 36 people. Free water and towels are available as well.
A place for balance of body and mind
“We do not see the new relaxation facilities of the Marriott Hotel as just a separate space, but as a natural part of a balanced lifestyle. Whether people come here after a long day to move their bodies, recharge their batteries for the next week, or enjoy a quiet moment by the pool, we want to offer them an environment where they can fully focus on themselves,” said Kateřina Hajná, the hotel’s Marketing Director, adding: “We have deliberately created a space that supports not only physical activity, but also regeneration and mental well-being. There is no rush, no distracting elements – just a harmonious atmosphere that allows you to slow down and tune into your own rhythm. Whether you choose a dynamic workout in the fitness area, a warm-up in the sauna, or simply rest in the relaxation area, you always have the opportunity to find your own way to feel better.”
